Ainhoa Vega-Bayo is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU (Bilbao, Spain). She received her BA and PhD in Economics with honors, specializing in Econometrics and Statistics. Her research focuses on program evaluation methods and discrete choice modeling applied primarily to education, gender issues and economic development. She has held visiting positions at Harvard University (predoctoral, 2013) and UC Berkeley (postdoctoral, 2015). Her research has been published in international peer-reviewed journals and she has participated in several regional and national research projects. She currently teaches at undergraduate (Intermediate Microeconomics and Macroeconomics) and graduate level (Quantitative Methods).
