Ana Revenga is currently a Senior Fellow at the Development Assistance and Governance Initiative in The Brookings Institution, and an Adjunct Lecturer at Brown University. Until December 2017, she was the Deputy Chief Economist at the World Bank Group. In her 26- year career at the World Bank, she worked in a number of senior management and technical positions, including the Senior Director for the Poverty & Equity Global Practice, in charge of the all the technical teams working on poverty and equity. She has published and worked extensively on employment, gender, globalization, inequality, social protection, poverty and trade issues, and has worked across a broad spectrum of countries in Asia, Europe, Latin America, and North America. She has a PhD and an M.A. in Economics from Harvard University, a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Wellesley College, and a Certificate in Human Rights from the Law Faculty at the University of Geneva.
