Lucas Gortazar is an independent specialist in the areas of education and social policies, with relevant experience in government reforms and analysis of public policies. Since 2012, he works for the Education Global practice at the World Bank, first as a Junior Professional Associate in Washington, D.C., and then as a freelance consultant. He has participated in several projects with the consulting firm KSNET, the Basque Government, the independent group Politikon and the Atlántida Project on innovation in education. He is part of the Expert Network of The 100 of COTEC Foundation, as an expert in Measurement of Education Innovation and Equity. Lucas holds a Bachelor in Mathematics from the Basque Country University, a MSc in Economics from CEMFI and is a doctoral candidate from the Basque Country University.
