The ISEAK Foundation collaborates with the COTEC Foundation to analyse the competences and skills of workers in the labour market in Spain. This project uses the European Commission’s new ESCO database to identify which specific competences and skills are associated with each of the occupations in Europe. Firstly, the study will identify the occupations that are on the rise and in decline in Spain, which will provide information on the evolution of competences and skills in the labour market, as well as a forecast of what future employment will be like. Secondly, groups at risk of exclusion from the labour market will be identified, i.e. those with skills that are disappearing. Finally, it is proposed to design a re-qualification model for these groups at risk towards emerging occupations with similar skills.
