Ana Revenga is a Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution’s Global Economy and Development and an Associate Professor at Brown University. Until 2017, she was the Deputy Chief Economist at the World Bank Group.
In her 26-year career at the World Bank, she has worked in various senior positions and technical responsibility, including Senior Director of the Poverty and Equity Global Practice, being in charge of all technical teams working on poverty and equity issues. She has published and worked extensively on employment, gender, globalization, inequality, social protection, poverty and trade issues, working across a broad spectrum of countries in Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America.
Ana holds a PhD and MA in Economics from Harvard University, a BA in Economics and Mathematics from Wellesley College, and a Certificate in Human Rights from the University of Geneva Law School. Since its incorporation in 2018, she chairs the Board of ISEAK.
